Uleda “Lea” Shafer
Lea was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on September 1, 1927. She passed peacefully on March 2, 2012. Lea lived the majority of her life in and around the Austin area. She retired after many wonderful years at Clark Travel at the young age of 80. She is survived by her husband Charles Shafer and her five children and their spouses; Sharrin Bacon, Troy and Laurie Rodgers, Connie and Smiley Clements, Voncille Diamond, Brenda and David Randig. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren; Uvahna, Jenny, Jo Jo, Josh, Caitie, Tammy, Sarah, Amanda, Lysa, Kenneth, Andrea, Blake and Justin, in addition to numerous great grandchildren. She will be missed by all. The celebration of her life will be held at Providence- Jones Family Funeral home in Elgin, TX on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
