Frances C. Simmons

Frances C. Simmons age 85 of Cuero, Texas formerly of Elgin, Texas passed away October 11, 2012. Frances was born to J.C. and Helen Bristow October 27, 1926 in Corsicana, Texas. She lived in Cuero for over 40 years, and resided with her daughter in Elgin for 2 and ½ years. Frances loved Handwork, baking, and being in the kitchen, she also loved music, but most of all she loved her Children and Grandchildren, they always came first. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cuero. She was preceded in death by her husband Perry Simmons, and daughter Barbara Stary. She is survived by her daughters Becky Stary and husband Daniel, and Diann Irvin, adopted daughters Susie Curlee, Harriet Kubalea, and Linda Gartman, brother J.C. Bristow, sisters Betty Gleen, Ann Chambers, Virginia Cinnamon, and Lola Bleecker, 5 Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin, Texas. Funeral Service will be 2:30 pm Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel with Interment following at Taylor City Cemetery.
