It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew (Buddy) Campbell, aged 77, of Elgin, on November 5th, 2025. Born on December 14, 1947, Buddy was a devoted husband, father, PaPa, and friend to many.
Buddy dedicated 34 years of his career to the Local 67 Sheet Metal Workers Union before retiring. Throughout his life, he was known for his warmth and ability to connect with people, making friends wherever he went. His passions included football, NASCAR, and attending car shows, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy Campbell, and his daughter, Gayla Bonnet. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Deanie, his sister Mary Campbell, his children Ray and wife Sandy, Ronnie and Claudia, and Kelly and husband Darrel. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: J.T. and wife Ally, Kelsey and Alan, Delaney and husband Trent, Drew, and Jake and wife Brianna, as well as his great-grandchildren Auriana Owen, Emmett, Kynlee, Camila, Charles, Amara, Raylen, Triniti, Trent, and Tristian. Additionally, he is remembered by his nieces Kara and Jennifer, and nephew Jason.
In honor of Buddy's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Central Texas Food Bank, an organization he supported passionately, especially during these challenging times.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, located at 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A lunch reception will follow at 12:00 PM at VFW Post 6115, 118 Sayers Rd, Elgin, TX 78621.
Buddy will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
