Becky Lynn Watkins

Becky Smith Watkins was born December 7 ^th , 1955 in Bonham, Texas.  Her parents were Gene Morris Smith and Margaret Ellen Dobbs Fletcher.  She was married to Thomas Joe Watkins Jr. on February 15, 2019.  She went home to be with the Lord too soon on July 15 ^th , 2021 in Austin, Texas.

Becky loved family and always wanted everyone to get along. She was a proud mother with a fire and fighting spirit and enjoyed spending time with her children.  She took much pride in being a grandma. You couldn’t get anything past her because she had that mother’s second sense.

She was hardworking and enjoyed her job as a caregiver for the elderly.  She would spend her free time camping in the RV and riding motorcycles with her husband.  She loved her dogs and considered them her second children; some would say they were her first.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Joe Watkins, Jr., of Austin, Texas. Four sons, TJ Jones Jr. of Odessa, Texas, Tommy Joe and Cheryl Jones of Allen, Texas, Steven Sloan and Sharice Thompson of Sherman, Texas, and Donald Sloan Jr. and Raylien Sloan of Meeker, Oklahoma, a stepson, David Watkins of Killeen, Texas and a stepdaughter, Melanie Watkins, of Silverhill, Alabama, her treasured fur babies, Carson and Jasper, the dachshunds, BB, Bojangles, and Penny, her newest addition and favorite, her siblings, Carolyn Stowe of Brownfield, Texas, James Robert and Yong-Chu Smith of Sherman, Texas, and Jo-Ann Wilson and husband Jeff of Sherman, Texas, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two previous husbands, TJ Jones and Donald Sloan.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21st, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and a Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will be held in Sherman, Texas at a later date.
