Bobbie Lea Mitchell

Bobbie Lea (Baker) Mitchell, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 74 years old.

Bobbie was born on February 23, 1951, in Houston, Texas, to her loving parents, Raymond and Mildred Baker and her step mother, Amanda Baker, who all preceded her in death. From an early age, she was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to the people she loved.

For 54 years, Bobbie was married to the love of her life, Robert W. Mitchell, with whom she built a home filled with loyalty, laughter, and enduring companionship. Together, they raised two daughters, Tracie L. Bartsch (married to Brad Bartsch) and Tanya L. Guinn (married to Brad Guinn), who were the pride and joy of her life.

Bobbie was also a deeply cherished grandmother. She leaves behind four grandchildren—Mackenzie Bartsch, Kylie Bartsch, Mason Guinn, and Garrett Guinn—each of whom brought her immense happiness and carried forward her kindness, strength, and love.

Throughout her life, Bobbie was a source of comfort and stability to her family. She had a talent for making everyone around her feel safe, valued, and cared for. Her gentle humor, her patience, and her loving nature will be remembered forever by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Though Alzheimer’s Disease slowly took her memories, it never dimmed the love she held in her heart or the love her family had for her. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured and in the countless moments of tenderness she shared.

Bobbie will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with her parents.

A Celebration of Life is planned for January, 10th 2026 at the Bastrop American Legion Post 533 located at 3003 TX-Loop 150 Bastrop, TX 78602 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Anyone who wishes to attend is welcome.
