Danny Ray Whitlock

Danny Ray Whitlock, born on April 18, 1962, in Austin, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 18, 2026, in Elgin, Texas at age 63. Born to Donald and Geraldine Whitlock, Danny was a dedicated painter and mason laborer and was known not only for his skills with his trade but for his vibrant personality and his deep passion for life.

A beloved member of his community, Danny was a big fan of college football, the NFL, and the NBA. His enthusiasm for sports always brought joy to those around him, making him a cherished companion during game days and gatherings.

Danny is survived by a supportive family including his brother Robert J. Whitlock of Elgin, Texas; his sister Kathy Whitlock Mohler and her husband Carl of Smithville, Texas; and his brother Jesse Whitlock and his wife Elizabeth of Elgin, Texas. He is also remembered fondly by his niece Candy Mohler of Austin, Texas; nephew Carl Mohler and his wife Sandra of Smithville, Texas; niece Virginia Skinner and her husband Steven of McDade, Texas; niece Christina Jasmer and her husband Dave of Wisconsin; and cousin Thelma Birch of Davilla, Texas, along with numerous other family members.

Danny was predeceased by his father, Donald Whitlock; his mother, Geraldine Hutcheson Whitlock; his brother, Lee E. Whitlock; his cousin, Jimmy Birch; and his niece, Christine Mohler. Though they are no longer with him, their memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved Danny.

The memorial service celebrating Danny's life will be held on February 7, 2026, at Davilla Baptist Church in Davilla, Texas, beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by an inurnment at Davilla Cemetery in Bartlett, Texas. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the life of a remarkable individual who touched many hearts.
