David Carlos Ramirez Jr., age 84, passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on August 20, 1941, in Elgin, Texas, to David Carlos Ramirez Sr. and Guadalupe Ramirez, both of whom preceded him in death.
David graduated from Austin High School and went on to work for IBM before dedicating 20 years of service to the Texas State School. He was deeply involved in his children’s lives, coaching them and actively participating in Little League, where he made a lasting impact on many young athletes.
David was a proud sports fan who loved watching the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees. Known as a jokester, he had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh. He cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved to dance and took pride in his appearance—always well dressed and never without a comb in his pocket to make sure every hair was perfectly in place.
David is survived by his loving wife, Mary Helen Ramirez; his sons, David Ramirez III, Xavier Nunez Ramirez, John Albert Ramirez, Robert Ramirez, and Raymond Ramirez; his daughter, Guadalupe Nunez Ramirez; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lisa Ann Neal; and his son, Michael Nunez Ramirez.
