Donna Lynn Dickey Nemec

Donna Lynn Dickey Nemec passed peacefully at her home on July 29, 2023, with her daughter and family by her side.

Donna was born August 14, 1946, to Otis and Bernice (Boots) Dickey in Houston, Texas. She later married the love of her life, Harvey Joe Nemec and had their daughter Amy Michelle Nemec. With a degree in Education from The University of Texas and a love of children, Donna followed her dream and became a teacher. She taught for several years in the Leander and Round Rock area. Donna was deeply loved by her math students as well as many others and will always be remembered.

Along with teaching, Donna enjoyed cross stitch, reading, playing 42, and Elvis Presley.

Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey Joe Nemec, father, Otis Marvin Dickey, and mother, Bernice Bell Lancaster Dickey.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Amy Michelle Nemec, sister, Kathy Dickey Bartz and husband Howard, nieces, Holli Poling and husband Mat, Jenny Leschber and husband Matthew, Christie Haub, and husband Alann. Donna is also survived by her nephew, Greg Childers and his wife Sonya, and numerous other great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on August 8, 2023, at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, Texas at 9:00 AM with a service to begin at 10:00 AM.
