Doris Marie George

In Loving Memory: Doris Marie George born April 5, 1934 passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 in Pflugerville, Texas. Doris was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister and Friend.

An intimate graveside service will be held on Saturday May 9, 2026, at Cook-Walden Capitol Parks Cemetery 14501 N IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Time of service to be announced later.

Doris loved spending time with her husband Wilbert George and family. Doris and Wilbert were married for 59 years. They had three children Glenn George, Jacque Scarmardo, and Paul George.

She enjoyed attending Grace Lutheran Church, Elgin Texas. She retired from the Health Department and enjoyed living in Elgin Texas for many years.

Doris was baptized on April 11, 1943 and confirmed her faith on November 20, 1960. Her favorite Bible verse is John 11: 25-26:

"I am the resurrection, and the life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."

Doris's beloved family includes one sister Virginia Sine of Oklahoma; Her children, Glenn George, Jacque Scarmardo, Paul George and wife Penny; Grandchildren, Crystal Zunker & husband David, Brandy Maxwell & husband Jason, Taylor Hayes, Tyler George, Stacy Ebner and husband Danny; Great Grandchildren; Sophie Zunker, Baily, Briley & Braya Maxwell, Lilah Gonzalez, Hunter & Braden Ebner, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
