Gene Arlin Gustafson

Gene Arlin Gustafson, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and Vietnam veteran, passed away on May 13, 2025, in Killeen, Texas, at the age of 76. He was born on May 25, 1948, in Taylor, Texas.

Gene graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas, before going on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at the 27th Surgical Hospital.

Gene was artistic, excelling in drawing, painting, and photography. He had a love of movies and motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing and treasured time with his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

He is survived by his daughter Alisha Miller and her husband Eric, and his son Christopher Gustafson and his wife Meagan. Gene was a loving grandfather to Makenna Miller, Gavin Miller, and Corbin Gustafson. He is also survived by his former wife, Vanessa Beckham Gustafson, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rena Gustafson; his sister, Vera Scott; and his brother, James Gustafson.
