Jefferey Lynn Kruse, 59, of McDade, Texas passed away peacefully at the Beacon Hospice Facility on January 13, 2026.

Jefferey was raised in an environment of diligent work ethic and a deep affection for the land he cultivated. At an early age, he spent considerable time in the watermelon patches, assisting with their cultivation and sale, which fostered a lifelong passion for horticulture. Regardless of where he lived, he consistently maintained a garden, tending to it with meticulous care and pride.

In his youth, Jefferey attended McDade Baptist Church, where he ultimately decided to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and he received baptism.

Jefferey's formative years and early adulthood were marked by employment at the cotton gins in Taylor, Texas, where he worked alongside his uncle and cousins. He later transitioned to working with his father, ultimately following in his footsteps into the construction field. Jefferey subsequently established multiple small businesses including leveling, remodeling, and handyman services, ultimately concentrating on lawn care services. In the evening, he worked at MNJ in McDade, which allowed him to work and connect with the community and friends who stopped by. He proudly served the McDade area and cultivated a reputation for dedication, skill and hard work.

Jefferey married his beloved wife, Cindy Kruse on February 14, 2017. Through their union, he was fortunate to welcome Cindy's girls into his life, embracing them fully and lovingly as his own daughters.

Jefferey is survived by his wife, Cindy Kruse; his stepdaughters, Susie Jones and her daughter Marissa Jones; Sylvia Jones and her husband Matias Valera and their children Victoria, Chloe, Kimberly, Matias Jr., and Enrique; Cynthia Nieves and her husband Luis Nieves and their children Anthony, Andrea, Amy, Andres Jr., and Aiden; his in-laws Susie Garrett Krause and her spouse Robert Krause; his mother Ruby Taylor, his siblings and their spouses, Darrel and Lori Taylor; Margarite and Marc Crerend; Lisa and Bobby Villanueva; his half brother Nolan Taylor and his spouse; as well as many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Taylor, his uncles Guy Taylor, Revins Taylor, Harrison Taylor, Stanley Thompson Jr., Jim Coffman, and Frankie Trlica; his aunts Thelma Taylor, Lorraine Taylor, Linda Trlica, and Mary Synatzske; his half brother Joe Taylor; and his grandparents Rochester And Estelle Taylor and Paul and Clara Synatzske.

We must also acknowledge Jefferey will be reunited with his loving and faithful companion, his dog Baby.

Jefferey's sense of humor, bright smile, and cheerful demeanor will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He is now free from pain, in the presence of God, and gets to rejoice with all those who preceded him. We will keep cherished memories of him close to our hearts and share them with those who were not fortunate enough to know him.
