Mr. Jose Nuñez Duque, 63, of Taylor, Texas died August 5th, 2020 after complications of COVID-19 in Austin, Texas.

Jose was born December 17th, 1956 in Morelos, Mexico and raised in Cuadrilla Nueva, Guerrero, Mexico. His parents were Albino Nuñez and Petra Duque. He was married for 38 years to Rachel (Galvan) Nuñez from Taylor, Texas. He was a hard worker and provided faithfully for his beloved family. He was an avid garderner and enjoyed making and sharing homemade salsa from his produce. He loved the Lord and dedicated his life to actively serving his church, family, and community.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel and 3 children, Monica, Hilda, and Albino (Benny). He has a beautiful legacy of 3 grandchildren, Axel, Bella, and Jose Eduardo (Lalito).

The viewing will he held at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home located at 604 Hwy 95 North Elgin, TX on Monday, August 10th from 1-8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 11th @ 10 a.m. at the same location. The burial will be immediately after at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
