The Life and Legacy of
Lois Ann Moore

Born on November 11, 1966, to Clay Lawrence Simmons, Sr. and Myrtle Lee Simmons, she was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, friend, and mother who touched countless lives with her radiant smile, generous spirit, and unwavering faith. Lois grew up in Elgin, Texas, where she was known for her kindness, laughter, and the joy she brought to every room she entered.

Lois accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at the Winn's Memorial Baptist Church.

Lois departed her earthly home on March 17, 2026, and went to her heavenly home.

Lois was a graduate of Elgin High School in the year 1985 and graduate of ITT Technical Institute, and she went on to pursue a filfilling career with the Department of PUblic Safety where she reitred from.

Lois met and later united in holy matriomony Johnnie Ray Moore on August 21, 1993. Lois and Johnnie added an addition to this blessed union in the year of 2018, the pride and joy of their lives Brayson D. Simmons.

Outside of her career, Lois was deeply involved in her church and church district. At Winn's Memorial Baptist Church, Lois served as church financial secretary and treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Choir President, Women's Misitry Co-Directory, Usher Board Vice President and with the St. John Regular Baptist District Association BLH Bradshow Mission II, she was DIrector of Mission Activities.

Lois was preceeded in death by her parents, Clay Lawrence Simmons, Sr., and Myrtle Lee Simmons; her sister, Dolly Simmons; her brothers, Clay Lawrence Simmons, Jr., Ronnie Simmons, Vic Simmons; and her brother in loaw, Dorris Lee Baker.

Above all, Lois cherished her husband and family. She was a devoted mother to Brayson, who was the light of her life, and she shared an unbreakable bond with her sisters, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her family meant everything to her, and her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion lives on in them.

Lois leaves to cherish her memories: husband of thirty-three years, Johhnie; son, Brayson, sisters, Joyce Baker, Tammie Reese, Margie Simmons; her sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws; aunts; uncle; and a hose of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, yet we are comforted knowing her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
