Listen to Obituary

Mary Carolyn Creamer (née Casper), born on February 10, 1939, in Quitman, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Round Rock, Texas. She was 86 years old.

Carolyn’s life was marked by devotion—to her family, her faith, and her community. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and attended North Texas University, where she enjoyed being a member of Alpha Phi Sorority, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Music and History, graduating in 1961. Her love for learning and music would remain central throughout her life.

While attending college, Carolyn worked part-time at Sears, demonstrating the determination and work ethic that would define her career. From 1960 to 1962, she worked at Ling Temco while her husband Bob completed his studies. Later, from 1971 to 1972, she contributed to an important historical project at the University of Texas—transcribing audio recordings of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s years in office. From 1973 until her retirement in 1998, she served as an administrative assistant in a law office, where her professionalism and dedication were deeply valued.

Carolyn married Bob Creamer, the love of her life, and together they shared 64 years of marriage filled with partnership and purpose. They raised two sons: Curtis Creamer and Kevin Creamer. Carolyn welcomed their wives—Lynnette and Tracye—into the family with warmth and grace. She was also a proud grandmother to Stephanie Creamer.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. As a youth, she was active at Gaston Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas. After marrying Bob, she continued her spiritual journey through several congregations: University Hills Baptist Church in Austin (1966–1971), where she played piano for services; Manchaca Baptist Church (1971–1995), where she taught Sunday School, lead, along with Bob, the college and career (young adults)group, and hosted countless gatherings; First Baptist Church in Elgin (1995-2020), where she played piano and was involved in many committees, activities, and groups, and finally Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown.

Carolyn had a lifelong passion for music. From 1963 to 1970, she taught piano lessons from her home, sharing her talent with young learners. Her love for gardening brought beauty into every space she touched—a reflection of the care she gave to all aspects of life.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Bob Creamer; sons Curtis Creamer (wife Lynnette) and Kevin Creamer (wife Tracye); granddaughter Stephanie Creamer; brother James "Jim" Casper (wife Janet); cousins Ray Bailey, Paul Bailey Jr., Joe Henry Bailey, and Claire Dulaney; as well as numerous cherished in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Edson Casper and Lela Bell Willingham Casper.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who supported Carolyn during her illness: Rickay Glover and Leticia Spencer of Comforts of Home for their compassionate service; and Mia Tonkins for providing invaluable home care and support to both Carolyn and Bob.

May Mary Carolyn Creamer's memory be a source of comfort to all who knew and loved her.
