Paula Villarreal Perez

In the little town of Elgin, Texas on January 25, 1937, Our Holy Father, Blessed Guadalupe and Maria Villarreal with a little angel and the name given to her was Paula.  Paula was the 4 ^th child of 11 born to the Villarreal Family.  She was the 3 ^rd girl of 5 and she had 6 brothers.  Our Holy Father needed a special Angel, so he called Paula to be by his side on November 8, 2020.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Maria, brother Victor and sisters Mary, Suzie, and Lucy.

Paula is survived by the Love of Her Life of 63 years, Ignacio V. Perez, her two sons, Ricardo (Janice) and Gerardo (Priscilla), loving daughter, Aurora Dianne, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, nephew Andrew Villarreal, brothers Zaragoza (Lana), Phillip (Annie), Sydney (Connie), Guadalupe (Rosa) sister Judy, sister-in-law Jessie and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Paula loved spending time with family and had a passion for gardening.  Born with a green thumb she spent many hours gardening her flowers outside and inside which included her elephant ears and African violets.  She was often given flowers that needed her special touch; she would nourish them and bring the flowers back to life.  Paula was an incredible cook, she could make a gourmet meal out of rice, beans, and potatoes.  She often blessed her family with incredible cakes and pies especially for their birthdays.  She instilled in her children that persistence and hard work will take you far and that an education would make things easier.  Paula was a devoted Catholic and a lifelong member of the Elgin Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Paula has great faith in Our Lord and Savior and will be by his side doing his will in Heaven.

We, as a family, give great thanks to AJ with the Lutra Home Care, she shared her special skills with us in taking care of our mother.  We also must send a big special Thanks to our cousin, Ronnie Hackradt, and to Silverado Hospice Care for helping us with our mother on her last days.

Paula will be greatly missed here on this earth but we all know this is not the last time we will see her, we are all believers and we all know when Our Lord calls upon us we will be greeted by Paula in Heaven!  Love you Mom and Thank you for all that you have given.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6:00-8:00pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.  A Celebration of Mass Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 12:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.
