Natividad Ruiz, 72, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday night, Oct. 22, 2020. Nat, of Elgin, Texas, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Ruiz and his 5 children: daughter, Ann Marie Moore and husband Larry; son, Michael Ruiz and fiancé Tina; David Ruiz; James Ruiz and wife Kristy; Melissa Esparza and husband Christopher; and his brother Joe Ruiz and wife Hope.
Nat was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalio & Soledad Ruiz; his in-laws, Leon and Agnes Morales; brother Pete Ruiz; sister Maxine Macias; and his grandson. Joshua Moore.
In addition to volunteering at multiple Food Pantries, Nat honorably served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Other survivors include his grandchildren: Jessica, Brandon, Corey, Jordan, Jacob, Nicole, Riley, Cooper and Sophia along with two great grandchildren, Kallie & Wyatt in addition to numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Please join the family on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at Providence Jones for the Visitation starting at 6pm followed by a rosary at 7pm.
A Mass of Celebration will be held on Wednesday October 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 302 W 11th St, Elgin, TX 78621 with the burial afterwards at Cook Walden Forest Oaks in Austin, TX.
