Victor Garza Hernandez Jr.

Victor Hernandez, age 56, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Bastrop, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1970, in Elgin, Texas.

Victor was a man of strength, heart, and deep faith. A former boxer, he carried the discipline, resilience, and courage from the ring into every part of his life. Those who knew Victor knew his presence—strong yet warm, protective yet kind. He believed wholeheartedly in Jesus Christ, placing his trust in Him through every season of life.

Above all else, Victor loved his family. He was the proud father of Vanessa, Victoria and Austin Hernandez, Sarah and Amber Chisenhall and Lily Jones. who were the light of his life and his greatest legacy.

Victor is survived by his children; and his many siblings: Caroline Guerrero, Phil Hernandez, Mary Helen Lopez, Jimmy Hernandez, Maria Christina Mendez, and Julie Torres. He is proceeded in death by his parents; Julia and Victor Hernandez and Siblings; Ann Solis, Pete Hernandez, Cecelia Hernandez. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Victor’s life was one of perseverance, faith, and love. Though his time with us feels far too short, his spirit, strength, and devotion to family and God will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
